About West&Away

In 2018, Amanda and I started a small clothing line with a handful of designs. It wasn’t meant to be a business so much as a creative outlet and something fun to build together. We got some traction, great feedback, and even launched a Halloween collection.

Just as things were taking off, we received a cease-and-desist over the name. Rather than fight it, we shut everything down... it was never about money, just a project that brought us closer.

That experience showed us how much we enjoyed creating and sharing together. Later that year, I came up with the name West&Away, a reflection of who we are: we love to travel, but the West is home. Since then, we’ve visited nearly 20 states, multiple countries, put thousands of miles of road trips in, and days worth of flights.

This is about our journey, while also helping businesses we encounter along the way sell online and share their stories.
